Welcome to The Boston Brewery

Please come and visit the brewery! Rich and Dan started Harpoon to make great beer and welcome beer lovers. That founding spirit lives on every day as we pour pints in the Beer Hall, take visitors on brewery tours, and share our passion for beer with fellow beer lovers. 

Upon receiving the first permit to be issued in twenty five years by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts to brew and package beer commercially (we were issued Permit No. 1), the Harpoon Brewery began brewing at 306 Northern Avenue, Boston. We are still at the same location, having grown considerably since 1987. Our Visitor Center now features Brewery tours and a Beer Hall and Store selling Harpoon merchandise, beer, and growlers.
