Octoberfest in Boston was the very first festival we threw here at the brewery back in 1990. More than two decades and thousands of oompah songs later, Harpoon Octoberfest has become a beloved New England fall celebration. What’s not to love about a big party at your local brewery, sipping on fresh Octoberfest beer alongside your friends, nibbling on bratwursts, watching (or joining) chicken dancing and German chocolate cake-eating contests, and toasting it all while lederhosen-clad oompah musicians waltz their hearts out?
What is Harpoon Octoberfest all about?
A festival of beer, music, and Fall in New England at the Harpoon Brewery. Come celebrate the 23rd Anniversary of the original New England-style Octoberfest.More Details:
- A wide selection of fresh Harpoon beer including IPA and UFO Hefeweizen
- Plenty of German food sold by a local guest restaurant
- The best Chicken Dancing this side of the Alps and the famous keg bowling game
- Three stages of music including New England’s premiere German Oompah bands
- Tickets are not sold in advance. Please pay entry fee at the door. Must be 21+ and have proper I.D.

Designated Driver Info: Remember to plan ahead and figure out how you will be getting home. Harpoon supports a Designated Driver program at each Festival. All designated drivers should visit the Customer Service booth when they arrive at the Festival where they will receive complimentary non-alcoholic beverages.
Festival Rules: Rain or Shine. Please dress accordingly. Must be 21+ with proper ID. Tickets are not sold in advance. Pay at the entrance. Cash only.
Getting to Festival Info: There is no parking at the brewery for the festival. Shuttles will be running from South Station.

On the Friday night of Harpoon Octoberfest, present your Friend of Harpoon Card, and you will receive HALF PRICE ADMISSION ($10 includes admission and one drink ticket)! You MUST have your Friend of Harpoon card to receive this price! You can bring one buddy in the Friend of Harpoon line with you (they pay full price). Remember to show your card and ID at the door!
