As you may have heard, the Boston Beer Company, brewers of Sam Adams beers, is conducting a product recall because of glass particles found in some bottles of their beer. Here at Harpoon we have received inquiries from concerned Harpoon customers regarding the safety of our bottled beers. We want to assure you that this problem does not exist with Harpoon beer. While Harpoon bottles are manufactured at the same plant as Sam Adams bottles and may share the same code as the recalled bottles, our bottles are distinctly different from Sam Adams bottles and are produced on a different manufacturing line with a different mold and in a different furnace. Harpoon bottles do not contain glass particles and are safe for consumption.
We commend the Boston Beer Company for their efforts to ensure the safety of craft beer drinkers.
