Harpoon Point to Point FAQs

What is the Harpoon Point to Point?
The 7th annual Harpoon Point to Point is a day of bicycle rides (110 miles, 50 miles and 25 miles) across the state of Vermont to benefit the Vermont Foodbank. Cue sheets for each ride are available at MapMyRide (110-mile, 50-mile, 25-mile)

What are the transportation options for riders?
You may choose to take transportation for you, your bike and your gear to your starting location in Williston or Bethel.  You may do so before your ride or after you finish.  All buses depart from the Harpoon Brewery in Windsor, VT.

Will there be same-day registration?
Yes. You could come and register for the ride then enjoy a FREE pasta dinner with a fresh Harpoon beer at the Vermont Food Bank on Friday, August 15 from 5 to 7:30 pm (directions to the Foodbank). Hope to see you there!

The other option is to
arrive an hour before the ride start time on August 16th at the Starting Point for your selected ride.
Please bring the completed registration form for the ride you wish to do with you.

Day-of registration opens:
110-mile ride: 6:00 am at the Family Catamount Center, Williston, VT
50-mile ride: 10 am at the Whitcomb Jr. Sr. High School in Bethel, VT
25-mile ride: Noon at the Harpoon Brewery, Windsor, VT

Can I pick up my packet before ride day?
PASTA DINNER, PACKET PICK UP, AND PRE-RIDE REGISTRATION 8/15, 5:00 PM - 7:30 PM

Yes, we will be hosting a pre-ride packet pick-up on Friday, August 15th at the Vermont Foodbank from 5:00 PM to 7:30 PM. Riders can pick up their ride t-shirt and number, and enjoy a FREE pasta dinner and a fresh Harpoon beer! Also, riders can register for the ride (any distance) that night too! Meal and beer or soda tickets for non-riders are available for purchase.

Can I fundraise online?
You bet, visit www.active.com/donate/vtfoodbank08 to create your own fundraising page or to make a donation on behalf of a rider.

What can I expect at the rest stops?
At the rest stops we will provide water, energy bars, peanuts, pickles, and fruit.

I'm not riding, but can I help out on ride day or make a donation to the foodbank?
