What is Harpoon Championships of New England Barbecue all about?

2012 FESTIVAL DATES:

• 2012 Dates: Saturday, July 28 & Sunday, July 29
• Saturday: 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM (Entrance closes at 5:30 PM)
• Sunday: 11:00 PM to 5:00 PM (Entrance closes at 3:30 PM)

BBQ TEAMS FOR 2012

We will have about 42 teams from throughout New England competing for cash and trophies and to be crowned the Grand Champion of New England Barbecue. All the information you need for your team to apply is in the Team Application.

JUDGES FOR 2011:

All KCBS certified judges wishing to participate in the event should send an e-mail to bbqjudges@harpoonbrewery.com. Our judge coordinator will contact you within 2 weeks via e-mail to confirm details regarding the Festival. Thank you.   

PLAN YOUR TRIP TO THE HARPOON CHAMPIONSHIPS OF NEW ENGLAND BARBECUE

FESTIVAL LOCATION:

• At the Harpoon Brewery, 336 Ruth Carney Drive, Windsor, VT. Map/Directions
• Off Route 5, next door to Simon Pearce, exit 9 off Interstate 91
• Free parking available in the fields surrounding the event site
• Camping at the event is for competing teams only. See attached list of local campgrounds and accommodations

MORE DETAILS (subject to change):

• $15 door charge includes 1 beer/non-alcholic beverage ticket. It does not include food. Food sold seperatly. Children under 12 are admitted free with parents

• Cash Only

• Cash bars serving a selection of Vermont-brewed fresh Harpoon and UFO beer

• Various BBQ teams will be selling a wide variety of hot delicious BBQ

• The event will be held rain or shine. Tickets not sold in advance

IMPORTANT NOTICE ABOUT PETS:

Dogs are allowed, but must be leashed at all times. Dog owners are responsible for the actions of their dogs and must clean up after their dogs. Harpoon reserves the right at any time to ask that a dog and its owner leave the event if the dog in not leashed, cleaned up after, or is misbehaving in our opinion. No refunds will be issued if a dog owner and dog are expelled..
