Harpoon Helps Mission: New Haven, CT

Date :18-Jun-2008 Wednesday
Time :05:30 PM - 07:30 PM
Type :Harpoon Helps

We need YOU to help us fight hunger in Connecticut. We’ll inspect, sort and pack non-perishable food for distribution to direct feeding agencies. After the mission, we will head out to a local watering hole to enjoy a pint of Harpoon.

In 2006 the Connecticut Food Bank distributed 15.9 million pounds of food to 650 food assistance programs in the state.  That’s a lot of food!  As you might imagine, they need some help.  So join us on Wednesday, June 18th from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm as we help our friends at the Connecticut Food Bank stamp out hunger!  We’ll inspect, sort and pack non-perishable food for distribution to direct feeding agencies.

And don't forget that after the mission, we will head up to a local watering hole to enjoy a pint of Harpoon!

The Connecticut Food Bank is located at 150 Bradley Street in East Haven.
Founded in 1982, CFB is the largest centralized source of donated, emergency food in Connecticut. The main warehouse is located in East Haven, with branch warehouses in Waterbury and Fairfield, and distribution sites in New London and Stamford. It will be our job to help sort food for distribution around Connecticut.

You can learn more at the Connecticut Food Bank website.
