Harpoon Helps Update - May 2007

Harpoon Helps is our brewery volunteer and charitable giving program.  Every month we arrange volunteer opportunities throughout New England including things like blood drives, food sorting, beach cleanups, and so on.  From here on out we’ll keep you posted with some of the most recent Harpoon Helps "missions", as we call them, so you can see what we’ve got going on – and hopefully entice you to join us for upcoming missions!  For now, here’s an update of what we’ve done so far in 2007:

Year-to-date volunteer missions: 10

Upcoming Missions

Harpoon 5-Miler Food Servers Needed!

We are looking for about 10 Harpoon Helpers to serve food to our runners after our annual 5-Miler road race to benefit the Angel Fund on Saturday, June 2^nd.  Food Servers would need to be here at the brewery by 9:30 am and serve until approximately 12:30 pm.  All other volunteer posts are full. Volunteers will receive a pass to Harpoon Brewstock, which will take place later that day starting at 2:00 pm.

1^st Annual Harpoon Helps Save the Harbor Save the Bay Beach Cleanup - FULL

On Sunday, June 10th we will be holding the 1^st Annual Harpoon Helps Save the Harbor Save the Bay, a day to celebrate our beautiful waterfront by helping in the ongoing effort of cleaning up our beaches. We have partnered with our friends at Save the Harbor Save the Bay (SHSB), and they’ve identified several beaches in the Boston area that are in special need of attention.

This mission is currently FULL for volunteers.  We’ll let you know if that changes!
