Harpoon and Brian Moore International Tours (BMIT) are hosting the 3rd Annual Harpoon Irish Pub Tour this November. This unique vacation opportunity will provide you the chance to visit some of the best pubs and sights of the Emerald Isle. Enjoy the legendary hospitality of the Irish this November 15-19 and get an early start to your Thanksgiving holiday!

This tour includes roundtrip airfare between Boston and Shannon and 4 nights' accommodations and sightseeing that includes visits to the Cliffs of Moher, the Dingle Peninsula, the Blarney Stone, Killarney, and Galway. This trip received rave reviews from all who attended in 2005 and 2006, so we could not pass up another chance to offer this to you.   • TRIP ITINERARY


    Day 1: Depart United States
  • Depart the U.S. tonight aboard your wide bodied jet bound for the Emerald Isle. Dinner will be served shortly after take off, relax then, or watch a movie, as you approach the dawn of an Irish morning.
    Day 2: Arrival in Dublin
  • Upon arrival at Dublin Airport, you are met by our friendly Irish driver/guide and escorted to your waiting luxury motor coach, which will transfer you in style to Killarney. Our route to Killarney is via the old market town of Ennis and westward to the mighty Cliffs of Moher. Rising to almost 700 feet above the ocean and stretching for 5 miles, the Cliffs offer sweeping views of the Atlantic, the Aran Islands, and Galway Bay. Next, we pass through the seaside resort of Lahinch, renowned for its golf courses. Here there will be a stop for lunch, why not try O’Looneys Pub. We then head to Killimer and on to the Shannon River. We’ll cross the Shannon River by ferry into Tarbert, County Kerry. Continuing on through Listowel and Tralee, we will arrive in Killarney and check into our hotel. For evening pub choices please see the last page of the itinerary.

    Day 3: Cashel and Waterford
  • This morning after breakfast we will set out to explore the surrounding area of Kilkenny. Our drive is through the lush green pasturelands of South Tipperary, and the bustling and prosperous towns of Clonmel and Cahir. This area, known as the Golden Vale, boasts Ireland's richest farmland. We shall also visit Cashel to see the mighty Rock of Cashel which dominates the countryside for miles and which in ancient times was the seat of the Kings of Munster. We shall also stop in Waterford where there will be time to pick up your souvenirs at the Waterford Crystal Factory Shop. We return to the beer capital of Ireland, in time for dinner and some free time in the pubs.

    Day 4: Middleton Distillery/Blarney / Ennis
  • Today, after breakfast we depart for Killarney. Our first stop today is Cork where we will visit the Middleton Distillery. Here you can see how this age old whiskey is made and sample a little tipple. Nearby we will find Blarney village where the famous Castle is located. There will be time for some shopping at the Blarney Woolen Mills, where a wide selection of Irish handmade goods awaits. For lunch today why not try Christies Pub in Blarney. We arrive in Killarney in the late afternoon with plenty of time to visit the pubs and see the local nightlife.

    Day 5: Dingle
  • This morning, after breakfast, depart on a tour of the rugged Dingle Peninsula. A land of blue gold hills and sandy beaches, of glorious waterfalls, hidden bays, wondrous rock formations, caves and arches, busy harbors and wayside pubs. A land dappled with heather, primroses, bluebells, foxgloves and smiling faces to welcome you. The peninsula that inspired films like “Ryan’s Daughter” and “Far & Away” has so much to offer. Dingle is an Irish-speaking fishing port and is home to Ireland's most famous dolphin "Fungie". Fungie, who is a bottlenose dolphin, has been swimming with the boats and tourists in Dingle harbour since 1984. The town has recently erected a bronze statue on the Pier to its most famous aquatic visitor. Just about every bar in Dingle offers traditional Irish music and the town buzzes with locals and tourists. Your options will include but are not limited to: John Benny Moriarty’s Pub, Donaleens Pub and many more. When then head back to Killarney for the late afternoon and evening, where you will have plenty of time to explore the pubs in Killarney.

    Day 6: Farewell to Ireland
  • After breakfast, we bid farewell as we board our coach for transfer to Shannon Airport. There will be ample time to browse and shop in the Duty Free Store before boarding your return flight. Then, it's on board leaving behind the "land of a thousand welcomes", sparkling in a setting of silver coastline and a patchwork of emeralds.
