The judges have eaten and the results are in for the 2006 Harpoon Championships of New England Barbecue

Day 1: Saturday July 22, 2006

Four categories (Chicken, Ribs, Pork, and Brisket) are competed on the first day of the championships, with the overall score combined to determine the Grand Champion. The Grand Champion is the state champion of Vermont and will represent the state in the National Championships. For complete rules and scoring, visit the New England Barbecue Society.

Grand Champion for 2006: I Smell Smoke!!

I Smell Smoke!! received 1st place in Ribs and Park, and 3rd place in Brisket to lead the scoring and become the 2006 Grand Champion.

Reserve Champion: IQue (2004, 2005 Grand Champion)
