No Frills, No Handholding
A no frills 148-mile ride from the Harpoon Brewery in Boston, MA to the Harpoon Brewery in Windsor, VT through some pretty hilly country. There will be bare bones ride support including 2 designated rest stops and a fluid station. Only experienced cyclists that can handle 150 miles in one day at an absolute bare minimum pace of 16 MPH should consider this challenge.
Cyclists need to be able to complete the ride, including rest stops in 10 hours or less (the rider must also be prepared to ride for long stretches by themselves if they get dropped by their group).
There is no support for riders who cannot complete the course within the designated schedule. Do not ride if you can’t maintain your pace and safely ride into Windsor, ready for a beer.
That said, this is a very rewarding and challenging point-to-point cycling event with a great party at the end and a fun bus ride back to Boston. Lots of fun despite the inevitable suffering!
Cue sheets and Route map
First Stage Riders are asked to stay together as a group in single file through the urban area (approximately first 20 miles) to ensure proper and safe navigation. After reaching Route 128/95, riders and/or groups may break away at will.
