Volunteers Needed for the Harpoon 5-Miler to help Fight ALS!

We need volunteers (a.k.a. Harpoon Helpers) to help us with the Eighth Annual Harpoon 5-Miler to benefit the Angel Fund and ALS research. The race will take place on Saturday, June 6th at our brewery in Boston. Volunteer duties will include helping with registration, handing out water at water stops, and various other jobs along the course.

VOLUNTEERS RECEIVE
All Harpoon Helps Volunteers will receive a Harpoon Helps Volunteer T-shirt and an invitation to the post-race party. There will be food, Harpoon beers and VitaminWater & SmartWater at the post-party for you as well!

VOLUNTEER REQUIREMENTS
Volunteers must be 21 years or older. We'll need you at the brewery at 8:00 am race morning (Saturday, June 6).

ABOUT ALS
ALS, commonly known as Lou Gehrig's disease, is a fatal neuro-degenerative disease characterized by muscle weakness and a progressive wasting and paralysis of the muscles. This cause holds special significance for the brewery as Harpoon lost Gordon Heald, a founding investor, to ALS in 1997. Last year, our race raised over $60,000 for the Angel Fund.
