Any questions you have about taking a tour are probably answered below.  If not, feel free to give us a call at (617) 574-9551 x522 or e-mail info at info@harpoonbrewery.com.

Q: What’s the difference between a TASTING and a TOUR?
A: A TOUR is a guided walk-through of the brewery and a narrated beer tasting. TOURS are only conducted during weekends when we are not brewing or packaging beer. A TASTING is a narrated sampling of Harpoon beers in our Tasting Room. TASTINGS take place at 4 PM Monday-Friday, with an additional tasting at 2 PM Wednesday-Friday.

Q: How much do tours cost?
A: Our tours on Saturdays and Sundays are $5 per person, which includes a souvenir glass, a guided tour of the brewery, samples of brewery-fresh Harpoon and UFO Beers, and a donation to Harpoon Helps

Q: What's the best way to get to the brewery?
A: We highly recommend taking Boston's public transit system which is known as the T. We are at the Harbor Street stop on the Silver line. From South Station, hop on the SL2 bus and ask to be dropped off at Harbor Street. Our brewery is directly across the street.

Q: Is there parking at the brewery?
A: There is limited free parking at the brewery on a first come first serve basis. If the brewery lot is full, there is a parking garage across the street (for a fee) and metered parking on Northern Avenue. Harpoon Brewery is not responsible for illegally parked vehicles.

Q: Can I reserve a spot on a tour?
A: Spots on tours are based on a first-come, first-served basis. Sorry, but we do not take reservations. During especially busy times, the next tour(s) may already be sold out when you arrive and you may have to wait a little bit for the next available tour.

Q: What are the "especially busy times"?
A: It is difficult for us to predict exactly when we will sell out. However, our busiest times tend to be Saturdays between 2:00pm and 5:00pm.
**Advice: try to come early or on Sundays to avoid long waits**

Q: Can I come in and buy a beer at the bar?
A: Unfortunately, we do not have a regular bar. Our tasting room space is only for tours and tastings. You must come on a tour or tasting to sample beer.

Q: Is there a restaurant at the brewery?
A: We do not have a restaurant at the brewery.  However, there are several excellent local restaurants and cafes located within walking distance of the brewery that also serve Harpoon beer! Just ask us for more information when you visit. Now, if you don’t mind a drive…. Our brewery in Vermont has an excellent restaurant and beer garden.

Q: How can I plan a private event hosted at the brewery?
A: on our website for more information. This is the only option we have for private groups. We offer the Harpoon 5:30 Club for groups of 15-80 people from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM on weeknights. Visit this page for more information. This is the only option we have for private groups.

If you have more questions about tours feel free to call us at (617) 574-9551 x522 or e-mail us at info@harpoonbrewery.com. If you do not reach someone live, please leave a message with detailed questions. We will call you back with answers.
