When you’re chillin’ at the beach, it can sometimes get… dare we say…. Boring? Ok fine. Not boring, you have the ocean and the sun and the brews. But sometimes you want to spice it up, ya know?! Throw around a football, play a little spikeball? We sure do. So we compiled a list of all the best games to play on the beach while you’re crushing your 12 of Harpoon Summer Vacation.
Just a friendly reminder though - don’t be an idiot. Drink plenty of water when you’re at the beach and never go into the water after drinking alcohol.
“Who in their right mind wants to lug corn hole to the beach?” They said. “That is so lame.” They said. And then they suffered from lack of FUN all day while we were over here with our floating corn hole game. True - you can get inflatable corn hole, throw it in the water and have the time of your life.
Get a bunch of buckets and wiffle balls from your local toy store, set them up like you would pong and get playin’. Buckets can also double as epic sandcastle creators - just a thought.
Take those same buckets and play yourself an old game of relay races. This will bring you straight back to middle school P.E. class. Each person gets a plastic cup or maybe a giant shell if you’re really feeling the ambiance of the day. Then you have run to the water, fill your shell...or cup, and race to empty it in a bucket. You can also play this with kids in your crew - just please don’t make them cry.
This arguably isn’t really charades but rather each person takes a turn drawing something in the sand. The catch is you have to draw your creation, and have your friends guess what is is ALL BEFORE THE WAVES COME AND RUIN YOUR CREATION. If no one guesses what your masterpiece is… you have to chug…. a gallon of water.
