Harpoon 5-Miler: Virtual Edition

April 8, 2020

We have some exciting news to share: we will be holding the Harpoon 5-Miler to benefit the Angel Fund virtually this year! Due to COVID-19, runners/walkers of all levels and from all over the country, are invited to participate on Sunday, May 17th from your house, on a treadmill or on a trail (as long as it’s completed according to recommended safety precautions).

The COVID-19 environment creates even greater challenges for ALS patients, their loved ones and the incredible people who treat them and search for cures. This is such an important cause for us, and despite the challenges at hand, we are determined to find a way to join together with you and continue this important fight. Thanks to this community, since 2002 we’ve raised $2.1 MILLION for The Angel Fund, and we hope that you join from your homes on May 17th.

We know that it will be hard to replicate the race day experience we all know and love, but we are committed to delivering on our same goals.

1. Raising critical funds for ALS, a disease for which there is no known treatment or cure.
2. Bringing us all together over a post-run Harpoon beer, (virtually) during a time when we need to feel connected more than ever.

Join us in the fight against ALS on Sunday, May 17th by going out and completing 5 miles from your home, with your family or those that you have been self-isolating with. Since this is the first year we will not be having it at the brewery, we encourage the whole family to be involved!

Registration opens tomorrow, April 9th at 12PM noon. Visit www.harpoon5miler.com to learn more about this year’s event and to register.
