TICKET INFORMATION

Tickets are available at the door! Admission is $20 and includes 1 Drink Ticket.

Food and additional beverages sold separately – additional drink tickets can be purchased on-site for $6. Drink tickets can be used for both alcoholic and non alc beverages. All ages welcome. Free admission for kids under 12 when accompanied by a paying adult.

Not drinking alcohol? Designated Drivers can sign up at customer service once inside the event and receive two free non-alcoholic drink tickets.

Tickets are non-refundable. Cash or Credit Card. The event will be held rain or shine.

Most teams will be vending BBQ throughout the weekend to the General Public. Many of these teams are friends and family doing it for fun (so be patient), and some are professional catering operations. Some teams may only be vending one of the two days. For the best opportunity to take advantage of all the BBQ, it is strongly recommended to arrive early. Depending on demand, some of the teams run out of BBQ as the day goes on.

Saturday, July 23rd

11AM – 7PM
Doors close: 5:30PM

Sunday, July 24th

11AM – 5PM
Doors close: 3:30PM

BBQ Competitions

On Saturday, all those attending the Festival will be given a BBQ Ballot upon entry. Teams throughout the Festival space will be vending a variety of BBQ. The public will vote on which team had the best Pork, Chicken, Pork Ribs and Brisket. The teams with the most votes in each category win prize money and a trophy.

Saturday: 4:15PM – 4:45PM Award Ceremony (People’s Choice)

On Sunday, there will be a professionally judged BBQ competition sanctioned by the Kansas City BBQ Society. Teams will be judged in four categories; Pork / Pork Ribs / Chicken / Brisket. Winners will get prize money and trophies. The overall winner, The Grand Champion, will win $1800 and also be invited to the Jack Daniels World BBQ Championship in October in Lynchburg Tennessee.

Sunday: 3:45PM – 4:15PM Award Ceremony (KCBS Sanctioned BBQ Competition)
