Celebrate Friendsgiving all month long with us and raise funds for our neighbors in need!
Each November, we hold special Friendsgiving dinners at our breweries to benefit the Greater Boston Food Bank (GBFB) and the Vermont Foodbank. This year, in order to keep everyone safe, we are unable to host these intimate dinners the way we usually do. Instead, we’ve developed some other ways to help the Foodbanks and we hope you can join us!
1 in 7 people in Eastern Massachusetts will experience food insecurity this year, including 1 in 5 children.
During the pandemic, the Vermont Foodbank has nearly doubled the amount of food it is distributing to meet the need. We are in the midst of a hunger crisis unlike anything we’ve seen in our lifetimes and it is going to take all of us working together to ensure that everyone in Vermont has enough food.
Here’s how you can help during the month of November at both the Boston, MA and Windsor, VT breweries:
- Drink Harpoon IPA! For every pint of Harpoon IPA sold, we will donate $1 to the local foodbank.
- Special Menu Items! At the Harpoon Beer Hall and Outdoor space in Boston, MA, we’re offering a new Cranberry Cinnamon Sugar Pretzel with Pumpkin Icing! $4 per pretzel will be donated to the Greater Boston Food Bank. At the Harpoon Brewery Tap Room in Windsor, VT, we’ve brought back some of our favorite 2019 Friendsgiving Menu items where a portion of proceeds will benefit the Vermont Foodbank. - Friendsgiving Take Home Cranberry Pretzel Kits! Add something special to your Thanksgiving menu this year! We’ll give you everything you need to bake our famous pretzels at home and include a 6-pack of Harpoon IPA to go with it.
Kits are $35 and include: 2 dough balls, all baking ingredients and instructions, Honey Butter Sauce, plus a 6-Pack of Harpoon IPA! Each purchase will help the GBFB and Vermont Foodbank provide 36 meals to our neighbors in need.
*You must be able to pick up at the brewery you choose, (Boston or Windsor, VT) during general operating hours on Tuesday the 24th or Wednesday 25th (Thanksgiving is the 26th!)

Despite the challenges 2020 has brought, there is still a lot to be thankful for. Friendsgiving, by definition, means: a Thanksgiving celebration with one’s friends, as opposed to one’s family. You, our friends of Harpoon, are who we are grateful for!
