Drink Pink for Breast Cancer Awareness Month

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and for the 2nd year in a row, we’ve joined other breweries from around the country to brew a pink beer as part of “Drink Pink!” Drink Pink is an organization bringing breweries together to raise funds for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. This year, we made an unfiltered German style wheat beer fermented with a particular Bavarian style yeast strain which contributes the flavors of banana and clove. Our Drink Pink beer was made with Hallertau Mittelfruh hops, grown in the Hallertau region of Germany and made pink using beet juice after fermentation! Bitterness levels are 15 IBU’s and the ABV is 5.15%.
On tap now at both breweries in Boston, MA and Windsor, VT, for every pint sold of Drink Pink Hefe, Harpoon will donate $1 to Drink Pink Beer and the Breast Cancer Research Fund.
